Ambreen Bhat, social media artist killed

Even after 24 hours, the family of Ambreen Bhat, a prominent social media artist from Budgam in central Kashmir, was still unaware of the circumstances surrounding her death inside her home on May 25 evening.

From the kitchen window, Khazir Muhammad Bhat, the victim’s sick father, saw a young man enter the house on the premise of booking a shoot for a song with Ambreen that evening. She graciously declined the offer to perform since “she had decided to take a few days off,” according to Mr. Bhat.

However, Ambreen and the mystery man’s chat was interrupted by a loud bang.

“An uncovered youth accompanied the pistol-wielding youth.The teenager pulled out a gun and fired on Ambreen’s chest and head on the house’s verandah in the middle of the conversation when she said “she was not feeling well and urged the youth to come later for scheduling a shoot.”Mr. Bhat stated, “She died instantly.”

In the firing, her nephew, a Class 5 pupil, was also hit in the arm.Ambreen was not threatened by anyone or was the target of any enmity, according to the family.
