West Bengal registered 22,645 fresh Covid-19 cases on Friday, dropping 822 from the previous day, bringing the total to 18,63,697, as per the health department’s bulletin.
The count of Covid-related fatalities in the state has risen to 20,013, the highest since the third wave of the pandemic struck in December, and per the bulletin.
The positivity numbers have dropped to 31.14 percent, down from 32.13 percent a day before.
The fatality rate has been estimated to be 1.07 percent.
In last 24 hours, Kolkata had 6,867 cases reported, following by North 24 Parganas at 4,018.
