This years Republic Day  parade will feature tableaux from 12 states and nine ministries or government departments.According to Nampibou Marinmai, PRO (Defense), who was at the camp on Saturday, only 12 states were chosen due to space and time constraints.

After their tableaux were not chosen for the parade, the Chief Ministers of West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala wrote to the Prime Minister.
