PV Sindhu Wins her first award in Singapore
After victories at the Swiss Open and the Korea Open, PV Sindhu defeated Wang Zhi Yi to earn her first championship in Singapore and third overall in 2022.
She completed the first game, which included scoring 13 points in a row, in in 12 minutes. But Wang Zhi came back with a bang, winning the second game and tying the score. The decider started on a nail-biting note before she gained a five-point lead at the interval. The Chinese looked to fightback but eventually fell shot in the end.
