Naatu Naatu 1st Indian song nominated for an Oscar

Naatu Naatu by Jr. NTR and Ram Charan is the first Indian song to be nominated for an Oscar.

The fact that SS Rajamouli’s RRR made the 94th Academy Awards shortlist is a source of pride for all Indians.
The film recently achieved success after Naatu Naatu from the epic opus made the 2023 Oscars shortlist, becoming the first Indian song to do so after earlier making history at the coveted Golden Globes Nomination list.

Naatu Naatu was selected for the Oscars 2023 shortlist and will compete against 15 songs, including Nothing is Lost from Avatar: The Way of Water, Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, Till You’re Home from A Man Called Otto, New Body Rhumba from White Noise, and Black Panther: The Album.
