Sonia Gandhi, the Congress president, requested the presidents of the Pradesh Congress Committees (PCC) in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa, and Manipur to resign on Tuesday.
This comes only days after the party suffered humiliating losses in the five state legislative elections.
