Pradeep Sarkar, the director of Parineeta, dies at age 68

Pradeep Sarkar, a filmmaker, died at the age of 68. On March 24, around 3.30 am, he passed away. Parineeta, Laga Chunari Mein Daag, Mardaani, and Helicopter Eela were all directed by Sarkar. He was receiving dialysis, and his potassium levels had dropped significantly. He died in a hospital. At three in the morning, he was taken to a hospital as his health worsened.

Funeral preparations have been made for today at 4 PM at a crematorium in Santacruz.

With brand ads, Pradeep Sarkar launched his career as a filmmaker. Before making his debut directing a feature film with “Parineeta” in 2005, he has worked as a filmmaker of several well-known music videos.
