Ghulam Nabi Azad Quits Congress

Ghulam Nabi Azad, a seasoned Congressman, resigned from all party positions on Friday, blaming Rahul Gandhi’s “immaturity” for “demolishing the consultative system” in the party.

Azad said that the party is managed by a coterie and that Sonia Gandhi is only the nominal leader. All significant decisions, Azad claimed, are made by “Shri Rahul Gandhi or, worse, his security guards and PAs.”

After leaving the Congress party, Ghulam Nabi Azad declared, “Will start new party shortly, first unit in Jammu & Kashmir in light of imminent elections.”
