Famous Ghazal singer Bhupinder Singh passes away at 82
Bhupinder Singh, a well-known ghazal singer best known for singing timeless songs like “Naam Gum Jayega” and “Dil Dhoondta Hai,” passed away on Monday at a local hospital from complications connected to COVID-19 and suspected colon cancer, according to his wife Mitali Singh.
The singer gained fame for songs like “Do Diwane Shehar Mein,” “Ek Akela is Shehar Mein,” “Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Aasman,” “Duniya Chhute Yaar Na Chhute,” and “Karoge Yaad Toh,” among others, over the course of his decades-long career in the film industry.
The singer, who was born in Amritsar, is survived by his son and his Indian-Bangladeshi wife.
